1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores on your device. Under Belgian and EU law we may place strictly necessary cookies without asking, but we need your consent for anything else. This site currently sets only strictly necessary cookies.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These make the contest work and cannot be switched off. They are first-party: they are set by this website and are never shared with anyone.

We also keep a copy of the device identifier in your browser's local storage (ht_device_mirror). It exists purely so the one-vote rule survives a browser that drops cookies, and it is cleared the same way as your cookies.
3. Marketing cookies
None are placed today. The banner records whether you would allow them so that, if the campaign later adds something like a social media pixel, it runs only for people who said yes — and never retroactively. If we add any, this page is updated first and you are asked again.
4. What we do not use
- No Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics.
- No advertising or retargeting pixels.
- No cross-site tracking or profiling, and no fingerprinting.
- Server-side monitoring records error rates and response times to keep the site up. It does not use cookies and does not identify you.
5. Changing your mind
You can change your choice at any time, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings at any moment. Deleting ht_device does not give you an extra vote: the one-vote rule is also enforced on our side.
